WHY BECOME CREDENTIALED?

An ACC Ministry Credential is a public recognition of God's call on your life and your commitment to serve with integrity, accountability and biblical leadership.

Regardless of which credential you pursue, every credential holder shares the same foundation:

Biblical qualifications (1 Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:7-9)
Baptism in the Holy Spirit
Godly character and accountability
Alignment with the ACC Constitution and Code of Conduct
Commitment to ongoing personal development
Active involvement in an ACC church

Each credential then provides recognition for different ministry responsibilities and stages of leadership.

WHICH CREDENTIAL IS RIGHT FOR YOU?

BEFORE YOU BEGIN

Before commencing this process, please be aware of the required training and necessary documentation.

Training

Safer Churches Training
Orientation to Ministry (SMC and PMC applicants)

Required Checks

Working With Children Check (or Working with Vulnerable People registration for ACT residents)
National Police Check
Photo Identification
Passport-style photograph

Supporting Documents

Depending on your application, additional documents may include:

Divorce documentation (where applicable)
Transfer documentation
Statement of beliefs
Letter of good standing

References

Applicants will generally require:

Three referees who have known them for at least three years (excluding family)
One referee from another church
An additional referee where required

The Credentialing Process

The credentialing process generally takes up to seven months from the time a complete application is submitted.

Applications not completed within twelve months may need to recommence from Step One.

Ministry Essentials Training

Once you've completed the required preparation, you're ready to begin your credentialing journey.

The first step is completing the Orientation to Ministry course through Alphacrucis before progressing with your application.
